HIGHWAY COUNCIL.

TOUR OF WAIKATO. A comprehensive tour of the No. 2 highways district will he made by members of the district council next week. The district extends southward from Auckland to Rotorua, Te sAwamu'tu, and Waihi. Alembers will start from Hamilton on Alonday and conclude the tour at Auckland on the following Friday. The Itinerary. The members of the No. 2 District Highways Council will leave Hamilton at 9 a.m. on Alonday for Alorrinsville, Te Aroha, Paeroa and Thames. They will spend the night at Thames. On Tuesday the Alatamata and Rotorua districts will be covered and on the next day, Wednesday, the council will work its way hack to Hamilton via' Putaruru and Arapuni. On Thursday Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Pirongia, Whatawhala, Raglan, Ngaruawahia and Waingaro will be visited and the night will be spent at Pukekohe. The council will tour the Franklin and Manukau Counties before returning to Auckland on Friday.
