( The Very Rev. G. R. Barnett, Dean of Hamilton, has been elected to the Standing Committee of the Waikato Diocese. Professor Wong Kai Ming, principal of the Piu Cliing College at Canton, arrived in Wellington by the Marama on a visit to the Dominion. The Rev. 11. L. Goldthorpe, who has been assistant priest at Taumarunui for two months, will leave at the end of the month to take charge of an Auckland parish. The Rev. T. W. Edwards, Vicar of Kamo, North Auckland, has accepted service in the Melanesian Mission and will leave by the “Southern Cross” from Auckland on April 8. Dr. E. Lyttelton, formerly headmaster of Eton and of Ilaileybury, was knocked down and injured by a motorcar in London on Tuesday and taken to hospital. I-Ie is 74 years of age. Mr W. Renton, 8.A., who has been headmaster of the Haiti school for the past seven years, has been notified of his transfer to the position of headmaster of Te Aroha District High School. The Hon. T. Shailer Weston left Wellington by the Marama for San Francisco. He will represent the employers’ organisations of New Zealand at the International- Labour Convention at Geneva. Mr J. R. Darling, who was in charge of the English Public Schoolboys when they visited New Zealand last year, lias taken up a position as master at the Geelong Church of England Grammar School, Victoria. Mr T. 11. Wylie, representative of the New Zealand Co-operative DairyCompany in the Morrinsville district for the past seven years, lias resigned his position in order to accept the position of assistant manager of the Finance Corporation of New Zealand, of Hamilton. Mr S. A. C. Darby, Conservator of State Forests in Suthland, has received advice of his temporary appointment 'to the position of Conservator in Westland with head-quarters at Hokitika. The vacancy on the West Coast was created through the appointment of Mr A. D. McGavock to the post of Assistant Director of Forestry. Mr N. J- Dolamore, Conservator at Rotorua, .will relievo at Invercargill until the appointments are confirmed or other appointments are decided upon.
