KEREONE SCHOOL.

PICNIC TO TE AROHA. The Kercone School held its annual picnic in the Herries Memorial Park, Te Aroha, and the day being beautifully fine the outing proved a great success. The School Committee had made arrangements for giving the children a really good time, and its efforts were most successful. Swings, shoots and revolving wheels afforded great pleasure to Ihc children, who were provided with refreshments and presented with a book each before leaving, for home. The results of the races were as follows: —Girls 5 and G: Gwen Eynon 1, Rosie Forlong 2; boys—Boyd Heed 1, Maxie Port 2. Girls 7 and 8, Beryl Cunningham I, Pat Cameron 2; boys, Fred Mortensen 1, Norman Wells 2. Girls 9 and JO, Mary Orr i, Marjorie Bennett 2; boys, Busier Mortensen J, Leslie Cunningham 2. Girls 11 and 12, Lola Sowerby 1, Joyce Port 2; boys, Ivan Eynon 1, Lewis Kelly 2. Tiny tots —Girls, No. 1, Molly Eynon 1, Judy Bennett 2. No. 2, Dorothy Days 1, Pat Wilhelm 2. Boys, Brian McMillan 1, Pat Orr 2. Single ladies — Miss M. Norman 1, Misses E. and .T. Eynon dead heat 2. Married ladies — Mrs Wilhelm 1, Mrs J. Forlong 2.
