HAWKE CUP GAME. MANAWATU AND RANGITIKEI. THE LATTER AT THE WICKETS. (By Telegrrapli.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Wednesday. The Hawke Cup cricket match between Manawatu (holders) and Rangitikei was commenced this morning. Rangitlkei won the toss and batted. R. Cameron and Barton opened the innings, the runs coming slowly. At 46 the former was caught. The incomer was D. Cameron. Soon after Barton was run out, the total being 61. Ilodder was the next batsman. With D. Cameron they carried the total to five for two wickets by the luncheon adjournment. Detailed scores are:— RANGITIKEI. —First Innings. R. Cameron, c Baumber, b Gray 18 Barton, run out 37 D.
