PALESTINE’S FUTURE.
QUESTIONS OF POLICY. GOVERNMENT TO DETERMINE. (Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 24. The Prime Minister, Mr MacDonald, was asked in the House of Commons whether the Government regarded major questions of policy in Palestine as being outside I lie terms of reference of the committee which Ims been investigating last year's disorders. Mr .MacDonald said major questions of policy were for the Government to determine, it was announced in September that when the report of the committee had been received the Government would consider along what lines, within the terms of the mandate, the future policy of Palestine could lm directed. That question the Government would consider, but certainly he was not prepared to say its conclusions would not be affected by the report of the committee. After the Government had studied (lie report it would consider whether to set up a Royal Commission in connection with the future of Palestine, or make a decision ilsclf on the subject.
