SUDDEN DEATH.

THE LATE MRS. HOGAN VERDICT AT THE INQUEST. An inquest into the circumstance! surrounding the sudden death of Mrs. Elva Hogan, of Frankton, was opened before Mr. S. L.. Paterson, S.M., yesterday. Dr. A. G. Waddell, who conducted a post-mortem, said there were no marks on the body and no disease was apparent. Deceased had had a fairly large meal before death. There was evidence of an old pleurisy at the apex of the left lung, but the lungs themselves were quite healthy. The causs of death was acute heart failure, duo probably to sudden shock. The story was quite plainly written on the heart itself, the left ventricle being acutely contracted and the right one much dilated. A verdict according to medical evidence was returned.
