HAMILTON MINISTERS.
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the Hamilton Ministers’ Association was held at St. Andrew’s Manse on Monday afternoon. Those present were: Rev. Percy Paris (presiding), Very Rev. Dean G. R. Barnett, Revs. 11. G. Gilbert, A. 0. Harris, D. 11. Hay, G. R. Harris, L. M. Rogers, Pastor J. Salisbury, Mr E. Dyason, and the secretary, Rev. J. Haslop. Apologies for absence were accepted from Pastor G. Bycroft ancl Adjutant W. Fraser. The associatoin xvas favoured by a visit from Ven. Archdeacon G. MacMurrav, who gave an address on “The influence of Christ on Modern Civilisation.” The Revs. Percy Paris, L. M. Rogers and the secretary were appointed a committee to meet the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce for the purpose of presenting the claims of the Waikatc Social Welfare League as the official body to which the association lends its support in its movement for the relief of necessitous cases and of unemployment. The officers elected for the year are: Prseident, Rev. 11. G. Gilbert; vicepresident, Pastor J. Salisbury; secre-tary-treasurer, Rev. J. Haslop. Rev. G. R. Harris acknowledged the best wishes of the association as voiced by the president, 'who mentioned this was tlie last meeting at which Mr Harris would be present as a member, as he will be leaving shortly to go to his new appointment at Opotiki. The next meeting is to be held on April 28 at the home of Rev. A. 0. Harris.
