NAPIER WOOL SALE.
COMPETITION VIGOROUS. THE OUTLOOK. UNCERTAIN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, Monday. The fifth and final wool sale of the season in Napier toole place this afternoon, when a catalogue of 8500 bales was submitted. The usual purchasing interests were well represented. Competition was full and vigorous. Bradford was 'the most prominent bidder, followed closely by the Continent. The presence of the speculator was fairly evident, and he proved decidedly useful. Wools of good type may be reportr ed as Id per lb. ldwer than at the last Napier sale, while average and inferior descriptions were from, id to jd lower. Pieces and bellies were in good demand at id decline. Against this decline in price' must be taken into consideration the heavier condition of later shorn wools. The outlook must remain uncertain.
