MISSING IN RANGES.
ELDERLY PROSPECTOR. WANDERED FROM CAMP. Search parties, reinforced by the police, are scouring the ranges between Whatawhata and Raglan for William Paul Brown, married, aged 53 years, a miner and prospector of Glen Aft-on, who has been missing since Saturday. The missing man, in company with John Scott Thomson, a miner, of Cden Afton, set out on Saturday morning to prosDect for coal. They crossed the Waipa River at Reid and Barton’s place, about five miles on the Raglan side of Whatawhata and struck out for the ranges. At dusk, when Thompson was preparing camp for the nigiit, Brown went off by himself. When, next morning, lie had not put in an appearance, his companion commenced an unsuccessful search for him.
