Sidney Solomon, aged 20, was found guilty to-day of Having murdered his wife Roma, aged 22, at Parramatta on December 28. He was sentenced io death. The jury made no recommendation to mercy, "but the condemned man’s case is lo be considered by Uie Executive Council.
Sidney Solomon and his wife had been separated for some lime when, on December 28, the husband went to his father-in-law’s house at Parramatta. He had an interview with his wife and an altercation ensued. The woman ran out into the road screaming for help. Solomon followed her and fired a volley of shots at her. Airs Solomon fell riddled with bullets. The arrest of the husband was effected shortly afterwards.
