NEW BANK MANAGER.
MR A. E. SANDFORD ARRIVES. Air A. E. Sandford, formerly manager ol' the Feliding branch of the Union Bank ol' Australia, took over the duties of manager of the Hamilton branch of the bank to-day from Air J. E. Page, who has retired. Born in Geelong, Victoria, Air Sandforcl gained his early business experience in Australia, where he was with the Commercial Bank. lie joined the Union Bank and was transferred to the Auckland branch about 27 years ago. Since then he has held executive positions at Auckland, Wellington and Feilding. Mr Sandford, who takes up his residence here with his wife, is keenly interested in various 'branches of sport, lie is a lover of horse-racing and the esteem in which lie, as president of the Feilding Jockey, Club, is held in the district from which lie lias come is demonstrated by the fact that the club has asked him to retain office for the remainder of his term. He intends attending the Easter meeting of the club in his official capacity.
