LADY LETTICE LYGON. v The engagement was announced recently of Lady Lettice Lygon, the eldest of Earl and Countess .Beauchamp’s four daughters, to Mr Richard C. G. Cotterell, the only son of Sir John Cotterell, of Garnons, Hereford. Lady Lettice Lygon, who is 23, is one of the finest riders to hounds. She and her sisters are considered, the loveliest girls in England. She is typical of the modern independent girl and lias only contempt for such old superstitions as that a girl who is thrice a bridesmaid will never be a bride. She has attended so many of her friends at their weddings that she has been described as “society’s greatest bridesmaid.” Lady Beauchamp, one of the most influential of Liberal hostesses, is a sister of-the Duke of Westminster. Sir John Cotterell is Lord Lieutenant and Gustos Rotulorum of Herefordshire. His son, who is 22, is a 2nd Lieutenant" in the Royal Horsa Guards (The Blues).
