KING TO THE CHURCH.
CONCERN AT UNEMPLOYMENT. The King, in a" message which was read by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Lang, at flic Convocation of Canterbury at Church House, Westminster, London, said: “I rejoice to observe the spirit which animates your reference to the difficulties associated with Ihc revision or Lite forms of ordering public worship. • May the continued exercise of forbearance and patience render it possible under God’s guidance to find a solution of this grave and perplexing problem. “I fervently join in your prayer to Almighty God for an increase in the influence of religion by the renewal of faith and the strengthening of the spiritual consciousness erf the members of the Church. The progress which is being made with the promotion of Christian unity is very gratifying, and I trust that the Lambeth Conference will contribute a further advance. “The continuous development of measures for securing infernalionai peace lias given me profound satisfaction, and Ihere is every reason for confidence flint the agreements which have been made rest on a sure foundation in die hearts and minds of the peoples. By devoting [heir energies to the strengthening of this spiritual basis the Churches of Hie world can give incalculable assistance to Hie Governments in making still further progress. “The problems connected with unemployment and other domestic evils to which you allude are, as you are aware.
