DUAL PERSONALITY.
REMARKABLE CASE. MARRIED THREE WIVES. CHANGE OF TEMPERAMENT. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel.— Copyright. (Reectived .March 24, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 23. A sensational case of dual personality, causing a man to marry three wives, was disclosed by Professor Lonflglio, of Ihe Academic Lancisiana, at Rome. Complete changes occurred at intervals of three or four years. First, tlie man is an accomplished musician, a patron of the arts, and a man of the world; but suddenly be becomes avaricious, and bis interests turn to mathematics, while he is completely oblivious of previous occurrences. Thus the man served four years in the war. Then came a change in personality, and he found himself in Rome, with no knowledge that he had joined the army, or that he had married a woman in Messina when a young man. Later he married in Naples, when his new personality enveloped him. Then, gaining a knowledge of his earlier marriage, the man went to .Messina to seek his first wife. He subsequently took a third spouse in Rome, where he was arrested and charged with bigamy. He was confined in a lunatic asylum. • Now ihe facts of the double personality have been disclosed, however, the authorities have been compelled to order his release. On one occasion the man was certified as dead, and was on the point of being buried when he returned to life.
