The damage is estimated at £IO.OOO or £17.000. Passers-by heard an explosion. Then two men were seen in run to a moving ear, which was driven away at. a rapid rate. The tire broke out immediately afterwards. Later is was discovered that a safe in the sales room had been blown open, it contained only receipts. Another safe, which held valuable documents and money, was not touched.
