LOCAL OBSERVATIONS. Miss Buck!, manager of the optician business in the estate of the late Mr J. Bremner, supplies the following observations on the weather: — Barometer, Saturday 29.95 f ionday • 29.75 Thermometer. Max.' Min. Saturday 74-00 54.00 Monday 79.00 50.00 Barometer 29.75 with, a ’ falling tendency. Indications are for unsettled weather to-day, humid atmosphere and light showers. Winds becoming brisk 1c- high later veering to a southerly direction, probably clearing tomorrow. Mean 'temperature, 64.5 degrees. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day are for westerly winds, moderate to strong and strong to gale and backing by west to south. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable, with showers. It will probably become colder, but improving gradually soon. The barometer b. rising.
