WEDDING.

HORNE—GREEN. The wedding took place at All Saints' Church, Malamata, on Tuesday, Rev. C. W. Turner officiating, between Hazel May, youngest daughter of Mrs C. S. Green and William John, fourth son of Mrs A. G. Horne, of Pukekohe. The church had been prettily decorated with cream and pastel Powers by friends of the couple. The bride, who entered on the arm of her brother (Mr C. W. Green), wore a gown of ivory georgette, the sleeveless bodice showing a Parisienne yoke of silver lace, the same trimming bordering the skirt, which fell to ankle-length points. The veil was of embroidered silk net, arranged with rows of pearls, orange blossom and tulle frill. The three bridesmaids—Misses Evelyn Ellery, Olives Horne (sister of the bridegroom), and Rowena Hill—were dressed alike in frocks of ivory georgette, with pointed handkerchief skirts and finished with tulle hip hows. Their headdresses were of tulle. The best man was Mr George Horne, and Messrs Fred Hill and Alan Horne were groomsmen. A reception was held at the Rialto, j where the tables were decorated with pink, mauve and lemon streamers and flowers. Mrs Green, wearing a smart gown of navy marlista, with hat to match, and carrying a bouquet of crimson flowers, received her guests. Mrs Horne, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a frock of paradise blue crcpc de chine, and hat of same shade. Her bouquet was of bronze dahlias. After the wedding a dance was held at the Kensington. The bride travelled in 5 a frock of chicory brown crepe suede, with fur-trimmed coat and felt hat to tone. Mr and Mrs W. J. Horne’s future home will be in Matamata.
