Mrs E. H. Hammond, of Hamilton, leaves during the week-end for a holiday in Auckland and Helensville. * * * * Mrs A. V. Tail, of Kaponga, Taranaki, is visiting the Waikato and is the guest of Mrs A. E. King, Insdll Avenue, Claudelands. e-m * * Miss Ellen Bailey, who has been •taying at Tirau, has returned to her home in Auckland. * * * * Miss Ruth Souter of Cambridge is on a short visit to Tauranga. * * * * Mesdames A. W. Parsons (Hawke’s Bay), and E. S. Pegler (Auckland) are at the Hamilton Hotel. * * * * Mrs J. Boyce, Epsom, is on a 'visit to Hamilton, and is staying with Mrs D. Andrews. * * * * Mrs B. O’Connor and Miss Mary Edwards, . Ohaupo, have returned to Ohaupo from an extensive motor tour of three weeks over both Islands. * • * * Miss Kath Scott, who has been holidaying at Ohaupo, has returned to her home at Takapuna. • * * • The official opening of the Hamilton Ladies’ Golf Club, will be held at the links on Wednesday, when Canadian foursomes will be played. Members will be the guests of the President, at afternoon tea. # * * * The marriage was solemnised on Wednesday, in Auckland, between j Charles, fourth son of Mr and Mrs j Day, of (Mi. Albert, at Otewa, fourth daughter of Air and Mrs George Hill, j pioneer settlers of the Otewa district.
