PLUNKET SOCIETY.

MEETING AT OHAUPO. The sub-branch of the P'unket Society at Ohaupo held its annual meeting at the Memorial Hall. After the balance-sheet and report had been read and adopted, the report from the nurse was read and showed considerable increase on last year’s figures. The*■ following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr S. Reid; president, Mrs Ryburn; vicepresidents, Mesdames Turnwald and J. Anderson; committee, Mesdames E. J. Edwards, Titmarsh, Johnson, Alf Karl, Sanson, J. Karl, Morton, Dingle, N. Reid, Tapp, Truman, Bland, Ogg, Kemp, Tarr, Farrell, R. Boyd, A. P. Story and C. K. Edwards (secretary). The 'box contributions for the year ■were 16s Gci, an appreciated increase. The meeting decided to book June 11 for the annual ball. The nurse’s report showed: Visits to the rooms, adults 245, babies 221, oldre children 43.
