FARMERS FEEL THE PINCH. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. —Copyright. NEW YORK. March 20. An announcement that Government funds would he thrown into the breach Lo provide housing for toe new crop three months hence has supporled wheat future gains despite the fact that millions of bushels of wheat are eaten up by storage charges in the Middle-Western elevators. _ Higher cable reports., from Buenos Aires and Liverpool helped to stabilise prices among the traders who had been unnerved by the overnight news of great supplies throughout the wheat belt. Traders estimate that so far commission men and intermediaries have stood the brunt of the price decline of winter wheat, some estimates of the Josses running to £20,000,000. Today it was reported that recent declines had cost elevator men above £20.0,000 in Minnesota, and approximately £1,200,000 in North Dakota and Red Valley, Minnesota. It is also reported that farmers are beginning to feel the pinch. One report estimates farmers losses so far at some £BO,OOO.
