PLAY IN HAMILTON. TO-MORROW'S MATCHES. SENIOR GRADE NEAR THE END. n The second-last, series of matches in cl the Senior A grade of the Hamilton p cricket competitions will he coma meneed to-morrow. On No. 1 wicket, s Sedclon Parle, Hamilton will meet. Old s Boys, and with the ground in its pre;l sent state good scores should be made e by both teams. e Although Hamilton proved successful in bo|h their former meetings they 3 will need to produce iheir best cricket, u to maintain their winning record. Old Boys have on occasions compiled good scores against the best bowling, and if their bowlers can strike form they should prove troublesome. Several of Iho Hamilton batsmen have linen [) making big totals lately, and there is k | no reason why I hey, should not give ! I fine, displays in Ibis match. The posis lion of the loams will provide an ins' renlivc for them to make every cn- - rieavour to have Hie match finished, L I while Old Boys are in need of every . I point to put them ahead of Frankton -I | at the boitom of the list. r Hamillon East have only to beat r Frankton to ensure winning Hie cham--1 pionship, and on form should not have i; much difficulty in achieving this object. 3 At Hic same time, Frankton have al--3 ready lowered Hamilton's colours once 1 this season, ancl if they can reproduce that play and defeat East they will ' restore great interest to the compe- ", tition. SENIOR B’s CONTEST. i \ The second, scries of the second . round of the Senior B competition will be commenced to-morrow, Ihe mat ches ’ being limited lo one day. On Seddon Park Y.M.C.A. will play Railway, and should not have difficulty in securing a win, although they may not be able io gain a four-pointer. In most oftheir matches (his season Y.M.C.A. - have pul up big scores, but Frankton , have not been so successful lately, i 1 At the commencement of Hie year they won some matches well by courageous i batting, and might return to that form at any time. Also on Seddon Park Hamilton East will have an opportunity to avenge their defeat by Cambridge on the | country ground. Cambridge are mainly dependent on a few batsmen for [lie whole of their score, ancl if Hamilton East can dispose of these cheaply they will have every chance of being victorious. Ngaruawahia will play High School on the jailer's ground, and a close game should resull. In their previous meeting Ngaruawahia gained a lead of one run on the first innings, and as the School team lias improved greatly of late there should be a keen struggle. THE FIXTURE LIST. SENIOR A.
