A British United Press report from ’Moscow says that through the official journals the Russian people were told that Europe’s Sunday services of protest against religious persecution in Russia fizzled out, and that on the contrary the workers in the chief European capitals demonstrated against the churches and pledged their support to the Soviet. The Pope is the target for bitter c-atroons which generally depict him as the protector of Fascists, imperialists and the affluent generally.
