CHAMPION’S SIXTEEN IN A ROW. For the champion singles title of the South Auckland Bowling Centre, N. Bell, junr. (Hamilton), and R. McFarlane (Ngaruawahia), met in the llnal at the Hamilton Club’s lower green yesterday afternoon, when Bell won 19'—-16 after a keen contest in which Bell did not get the lead until three parts of the 21 head journey had been reached. Bell had seventeen contests before annexing the title and he lost only the first game in his group competition, which is a distinctly creditable record. Fn the final yesterday Bell (two lifer), opened with a single, but McFaiiane (one lifer), notched 3 on the next head. A 2 to Hell was followed by 2, 1 2 to A!cFnrlanc’s credit, and the Ngaruawahia player was 5 up. He had increased bis advantage to seven by the time the Olli was played.
