Mr Thomas Inger, of Port Albert, celebrated his 99th birthday yesterday. He lias lived at Port Albert since bis arrival in New Zealand in ISO2.

Mr. 11. Gapes, a member of the Audit Department, has returned to Wellington after twelve months’ service in Samoa.

Mr. E. J. Howard, M.P. for Christchurch South, who had been visiting this district, left for Auckland this morning. He will return South tonight.

Dr. G. B. Campbell, who has been relieving the Health Department official at Samoa, is returning lo Nelson before proceeding to England to continue his studies.

Dr. H. E. Annett, who returned to Wellington by the Rangitiki, accompanied by Mrs. Annett and his young daughter, does not expect to reach Hamilton unlit next Wednesday.

At a meeting of the congregation of the Somervell Presbyterian Church, Remucra, last evening, it was unanimously decided to send a call to the Rev. T. N. Cuttle, of Greymouth.
