CONSTIPATION.
THE HARM IT CAUSES,
Constipation is the root of ninetenths of the sickness of men and a large proportion of the sickness of women. It is a simple thing of itself but like many simple things, it may grow and become complicated. When the bowels are clogged the waste matter decays and ferments and enters the blood and is carried to all parts of the body, producing Headaches, Biliousness, Sleeplessness, Heartburn, Loss of Appetite, Indigestion, Neuralgia, Rheumatism, and various other ailments, disturbing the Heart and Nervous System, and if continued is liable to cause Inflammation of the Bowels, Liver, and Kidneys.
