HOWDEN CUP GAMES. FIRST DAY’S PLAY.' The champion of champion games in connection with the Hamilton croquet competitions commenced at the Hamilton Club’s lawns this morning. The games arc being played for the. llowden Cup, and will be continued to-morrow. The, players are:—(llaudelands, Miss Jones; Franklnn, Mrs Bartlett; Hamilton, Mrs Coombcs; Whil.iora, Mrs Evans., Following are results of tins morning’s play:— First Section.
