GOVERNMENT SAFE.
NO HOSTILE ACTION
DECISION OF BRITISH LIBERALS. “-NOT IN NATIONAL INTEREST.” United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel.— Copyright. (Received March 19, 1-30 p.m.) LONDON, March 18. At a meeting of the British Liberal Party, over which Mr Lloyd George presided, is was unanimously decided that owing to the situation of the Naval Conference it would not be in the national interest to create a crisis in the House of Commons. The Liberals will therefore abstain fr. n divisions and vital amendments to the Coal Bill in committee, reserving liberty of action on the report and third reading stages. This removes the danger of the defeat of the Government on Thursday on the minimum coal prices amendment.
