MILITARY ACTIVITIES.
WAIKATO MOUNTEDS. “CASUALS” AT NGARUAWAHIA. BETWEEN 250 AND 300 TO ATTEND Between 250 and 300 members of the Waikato Mounted Rifles will commence their annual military training course at the Ngaruawahia Camp on Monday. The unit will be in charge of Lieut.-Colonel C. R. Spragg, and Captain J. A. M. Clachan, N.Z.S.C., will act as adjutant. During the same week a “casual” camp for trainees unable to attend camp with their regular units will he held. All “details” of the Northern Command, including members of the Infantry, mounted rifles, engineers, medical -corps and army service corps will be obliged to attend. The period in camp will vary from six to nine days, according to the number of parades each trainee has attended during year. Major P. H. Bell, D. 5.0., N.Z.S.C., of Hamilton, will command this camp, with Lieut. J. W. Barry, N.Z.S.C., as -his adjutant. Inspection of Cadots. The Ist Cadet battalion of the Waikato Regiment will be Inspected at the Drill Hall to-morrow evening by Lieut.-Colonel j. E. Duigan, D. 5.0., N.Z.S.G., chief staff officer of the Northern Command.
