FAREWELL EVENING.
AT PUKEIVHRO. The members of the choir of the Presbyterian Church gave a farewell lo Mrs IT. Davies, who is leaving for a visit to her home in Wales. The function was held at the home of Airs Drinnan, who acted as hostess. Many pleasing musical items were rendered, and Airs Davies, who possesses a well-trained soprano voice, sang several operatic excerpts in Italian. Mrs White, the senior member of (he choir, asked Airs Davies to accept a handsome handbag as a mark of appreciation of her help to the choir. Airs Davies suitably responded, and Ibc evening closed with the singing of “Aulcl Lang Syne." Those present Included: —Mesdames Davies, Burt, Barr, Drinnan, Afarlin, White, Alisscs M. Thompson and Bay, and Afessrs Alartin, Drinnan, Burt and J. Brown.
