The death is announced of Mrs Katherine Peek, a former war nurseAs Sister McGregor she had over four years’ active service, and was mentioned in despatches. namms- ' MR A. C. FORT. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The death of Mr Adam Clappcrton Fort, a veteran of the Maori Wars, occurred at Mount Albert, yesterday morning. Mr Fort, who was 85 years of age, came to New Zealand in 1861.
