The Financial News, in a leader, says Australia’s gold exports coupled with discriminating restriction on impirts, should go far to ease the exchange position and avert the need for fresh borrowing. If gold reserves are further mobilised and exported it should at least permit the removal of the restrictions which arc causing Inconvenience and even hardship.
