HOUSEHOLD NOTES.
Washing the Tea-Pot. The spout should not be forgotten when washing the tea-pot, as old leaves are liable to collect there. A bottle brush of the tapered kind is best for the purpose. It pushes easily into the spout and removes all stain. Also it is useful for cleaning the crevices round the handles of cups and jugs. To Relieve Aching Feet. Two tablespoonfuls of paraffin oil added to the footbath will relieve and refresh aching feet. Soak the feet afterwards in warm soapy water. Comfort In Cold Weather. Women whose feet quickly get cold in winter, but who do not care for ordinary woollen stockings, may be glad to know that Britella stockings combine comfort and warmth with the appearance of silk. When Washing Velveteen. It is necessary to be very careful of the drying of velveteen after it is washed. There must be no wringing or squeezing, and the garment or article must be hug up quite wet and allowed to drip and dry.
