ST. PATRICK’S SPORTS
A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. Through the courtesy df the Waikato Trotting Club and the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association the Claudelands course was foe venue on Saturday last of a highly successful sports and picnic organised by the St. Patrick's Sports Committee for the pupils of tlic Marlst Brothers and Convent schools. Cups presented by the Herbert Smith Trust and other valuable tropries wore competed for and an excellent standard of athletics was exhibited. Basket ball and overhead ball games provided the spectacular element. The Marist Brothers assisted by a number of volunteers from amongst the parents were in charge of the competitions, while the catering was conducted officially by a band of lady workers.
