AMBASSADORIAL STATUS. OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE. (Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 14. The King lias approved a recomr inundation by the Foreign Secretary ' (Bight Hon. A. Henderson) that His Majesty’s representative in Chile shall e in future be Ambassador instead of Minister as hitherto, and that an Ambassador from the Republic of Chile xvi 11 similarly be received at His Majy esty’s Court. 'e The British and Chilean Governg ments are satisfied that this elevation .o of the status of the two representail tives will be to the mutual advantage t- of both countries. The necessary -e steps will shortly be taken to give ' 0 effect to His Majesty’s pleasure in the case of the British representative, and it is anticipated that similar steps rill be taken by the Chilean Government regarding the representative of the Republic in London.
