DE RIVERA’S DEATH.

(Received March 17, 11.30 a.m.) PARIS, March 16. • The death has occurred here of General Primo De Rivera (Marques de Estella) who until recently was virtually Dictator of Spain, and who came to Paris following his dismissal by King Alfonso.

Though General Primo de Rivera suffered from diabetes, be was in his usual health apart from weakness following influenza. He had his breakfast in bed, and told his daughters that lie had bad an excellent night, and had never felt better, hut soon afterwards lie experienced difficulty in breathing, and died l’rom heart failure before the arrival of a doctor. The immediate cause of death was embolism. llis son declared that Spain killed the ex-Dictator, meaning that the severe and continuous strain of the Dictatorship had shortened his life.
