Speaking of Mr Clifton's tran-fer from Auckland to take charge of the Stock Department, Mr J. H. Rutherford, at the meeting of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association Committee on Friday, said the farming c ommunity had very great co"ti leuce ill Mr Clifton, and was much indebted t' him for general c urtesy and ready assistance. The moetiug decided to tender its congratulations to Mr Clifton.
