ROTORUA RAILWAY.

(BY TELHGRAPH-PBEB9 ASSOCIATION). Wellington, Thursday. The plans and specifications for the completion of the Rotorua railway have been approved by the Engmeer-in-Ohief. and instructions sent to Auckland to invite tenders at once.

The Public Works Department have some hopo of being able to complete the line by the end of the year, but they are afraid that the heavy traffic over the bush road would so cut it up as to render it impossible to get material through. In any case the main contract, completing the line to a point whore it strikes the road about eight miles from Rotor la, will be finished, and the line opened in good time. This will save the tiresome coach journey through the bush. This line will be taken to the Govornmont township.
