Muntz, and Anderson, the whole of the Melbourne directors of thoMnr' eantile Band of Australia; Mr Mil* lidgo, the late manager, and Messrs Ellis and Richardson, auditors, on a charge of issuing in February last a false and misleading balance sheet,
Those whom it was decided to prosecute in connection with the false balance sheet of the Mercantile Bank of Australia have informed the authorities of their whereabouts and will be summoned on the criminal charge. The date of the trial is fixed for tho 11th inst,, but it is probable the prosecution will be delayed until the arrival of Mr Millidgc from London. Loxdok, January 5. Mr Juboz Spencer Balfour, who is mixed up with several institutions which recently suspended payment has left the country. Mr F. Millidgc, late manager of the Mercantile Bunk of Australia has been arrested.
