THE Calcutta correspondent of the London Times fears that the prospect of the muetiii"- of Lord Roberts, Commandant of the Indian forces, and the Ameer of Afghanistan, with respect to the Pamir and frontier questions, is not likely to come off, as the Ameer will not g-ivu any definite promise us to when be will receive the English officer.
