HAMILTON AQUATIC CARNIVAL

Thb annual meeting of the Hamilton Swimming Club was hold in The Waikato Times Buildings on Tuesday overling, when Mr \V. A. Graham presided over a large attendance. The balance-sheet was read, which showed a credit balance. The following officers wares elected :-- President : Mr W. A. Graham (re-elected). Vice-President : Mr I. Cnates (re-elected). Judge : Mr \V. A. Graham (re-elected). Starter : Mr Isaac Coates (re-elected). Hon. Sec. : Mr 0. G. Knox (re-elected). Time-keepers : Messrs Ja->. B. Harker, C. N. LeQnijsna and U. Hnwden. Committee : Messrs W. F. Bell, C. N. Le Quesne, A. 13. Hobbs, R. F. Sandps, Goo. Fdgecumbe, J. C. Salmon, R. Dellicar, R. Parr, J. H. Home, G. Pair, T. G. Sondes, S. Harker, J. Knox, F. Kdgecumbe, H. Hnwden, C. A. Davis, \\ . G. Castleton, T. King, J. T. Home, W. Rae. II Mont (joinery, C. J. W. Barton and \V. B. Missen. 'Che secretary was instructed to apply to the Hamilton Domain Board for permission to charge the sum ot Is each for adults, and Is each for horses for admission to the Hamilton Like Reserve on Monday, January 30tl>, children under 14 years to bo admitted free ; also, to ask the Board to repair the jetty, as it is at present unsafe. Messrs G. Kiif.ecumbfl, R. F. Sandesand the secretary were appointed a committee to arrange times for races, to receive offers in connection with the privileges, and t. deal with them. A large and attractive programme was drawn up, the total value of pnz;s in connection therewith being over £00. In the programme are the usual swimming races, including the 100 yds. Championship of New Zealand, Maori Canoe Hurdle and Flat Rices, Pair-oar and Four-oar Handicaps, and Sculling, Rob Roy Canoe and Sailing Races. A concert will bo given in the evening in aid of the funds. The committee will meet at 8 p.m. each Monday evoning, in Tho Waikato Times Buildings, during the interval, five to form a quorum.
