The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report under date : — CHRIsrCHUBCH, November 20. — Store Bheep : The entry of about 1300 was made up principally of ewes and lambs in wool ; a small lot of four-tooth croeebreds in the wool, and two lots of shorn two-tooths formed the balance of the entry. Ine attendance was fair, and included a big proportion of bona fide buyers; consequently Rood competition ruled, and almost every lot was cleared at satisfactory prices. Four-tooth crossbteds in wool brought l(.:i Oil; two-tooth crossbreds, shorn, broujjht 12s to 12s 6d; merino ewes and lambs realised 12s 9d.-F«t lambs : The ynrJini? was somewhat limited, and values firm at 11s to 13a for best sorts, and down to 9s for inferior.—F«t aheop : The following raa«ona probably accounted for the exceptionally einnll supply penned in this class :— Abundance of feed, shearing operations, and the fact that both freezing factories are at present shut down for their annual overhaul.—Fat cattle : The beef market was well supplied, both as regard* quantity ami quality, the latter especially being considered above the average. Values were easier than at last week's Email market, although payable prices were realised, and a good clearance was effected. Prime steers brought £7 10s to £9 ss, do. cows and heifers £6 to £7 10*—Store cattle : A very small yarding, with revived competition, keener than ever, for young and useful sorts, characterised the day's business, transactions being about as follows :—Yearling to eighteen-month-old, mixed sexes, 40s to 595, well-grown calves 20i to 255, good sorts being the quality offered.
