♦ (IIY KLECTIUC TKXKGRAPH.— COPYRIGHT). Paris, November 20. A MAJOKITV of the Dahomoyans deserted their king at the last. The French are striking a rnedal to celebrate the success of the expedition. Colonel Dodds has been instructed to arrange for the future administration of the country- Behanzin has been deposed and Toffas succeeds him. November 20. Colonel Dodd has arranged to place Dahomey under native rulers, but subject to French authority.
