TUHIKARAMEA V. TAUPIFI. ' Thr above clubs played their first match this season on Sydney Square, Hamilton, 1 on Saturday, which ended in a win for ' Taupiri by an innings and 49 runs. The : Taupiri team went first to the wickets, and before being disposed of scored !H runs, of 1 which RB. Cox (the skipper) contributed G-2 (not out). G. Welsh (11) was the only other scorer that reached double figures. 1 S. Reid, who bowled throughout the innings for Tuhikaramea, did well with the bill, securing ti wickets for 32 runs, and F. i W. Lang was in good form behind the . wickets. Tuhikaramea's first innings was a fair procession, the team, who only batted ten men, being all dismissed for 9 runs. Welsh and C. Lovell both performed well , with the ball. Having to follow on, Tuhikaramea scored 33, H. Richdala (12) being the only one to reach double figures. E, B, .
