It was decided to close at 1 p.m. every Saturday, for the next three months, commencing from the 12th inst. A public holiday occuruni; doling the week shall not interfere with Saturday s closing. Fiiday is to be made the late night, when the stores will be opened to the public until half-pad eight o'clock. Oua Dairy Factouy.—The working of the creamery, 1 have lately heard, does not give the satisfaction that it -hould, chiefly in the rest part of the business. Each supplier would naturally like to know what his percentage of cream is regurlarly, which under the present system, is not made know '..i him, or, if so, very seldon. It would be much better to have a regular reconl, so that each supplier could gain the information he seeks.
