WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Waitoa Road Board took place in the Nottingham Castle Hotel, Morriosville, last Saturday. Present: Messrs W. P. Chepmell (in the chair), J. Horrcll, W. Main, R Parr, and J. Gordon.- Complaints having been received that some of the roads on the Te Aroha snle of the district had been very mii'-h damaged by pigs rooting on them, it was resolved that the Clerk write the supposed owners of the pigs and request them to repair the damage already done and not allow them to root any more on the road*.— The following tenders were received for the drain contract, 56 chains : D. McCarthy, 12s per chain ; J. McCarthy, 10s per chain (accepted).—A lett , r was received, re the state of the Piako road near the property of W. Stinipson. It was decided that the engineer get it suitably repaired.—The oridse over Cassidy's drain will be attended to by the engineer as soon as possible.—lt was reported that Mr R. B. Willis had paid his contribution of a third of the cost of the Waiorongomai rovl-Waihckan draiuag..; contract.—Accounts amounting to iilS Is 2d were passed for payment.
