TE RORE.
School Committee Estkrtainmkn*t.— Since writing my last, I have been informed that the School Committee have postponed their Entertainment and Dance until the first week in December, owing to the bnsy time just now in getting in the crops, which are much behind this season, owing to the bad weather of late.
Horse Bkkkihsg.— We are not to be loft out in the matter of horse breeding, as it will be noticed by advertisement in The Waikato Times that the draught stallion Prince Fergus, and the coaching stallion Mountaineer are both visiting the district. The tormpr lias left some very promising young stock in the district, and if one can judge by the prices ruling at the recent sales for unbroken young stock, farmers cannot do better than breed draughts. I hear that Mr Pollard, Prince Fergne' owner, has already a good many inares booked round Miis way.
Dairying Industry.— Though all efforts to induce Messrs Reynolds and Co. to establish a creamery in the district for the present season, were set at rest several months ago, I am glad to hear that there is every chance of one being erected here ready for the next milk season, for in the case of Messrs Reynolds and Co., who are to get the first chance of establishing one in the district, declining the offer, the opportunity will then be given to an opposition man. It is therefore to be hoped that Mr Reynolds will not overlook the matter, and allow the ground to be occupied by an opposition company. As Te Rore is a good dairying district, with surrounding districts ilso good there should be no difficulty in running one of the largest creameries in the Waikato.
