Gents, 2s Gd ; ladies free. TE T F O R D , Bay horse, by Musket, dam Puugaweiewtre. This Stallion, now leased by Mr J. S. Buckland, will be at the service of breeders in the Waikato District for the season. Brown with a blaze, with ex cellent legs, and as sound as a bell, a good racehorse overall distances, and as game as a pebble. Such may be taken by owners having mares likely to produce good hunters or useful harness horses as a fair description ; in addition to which, in conformation, contour, substance, and power, he is second to no horse south of the line, and is one most likely to leave splendid progeny, inasmuch as his full brother Brigadier has thrown a " galloper " from all classes of mares, aud Tranter another full brother, has obtained the first prize in Victoria, as a sire likely to produce the desire, Mr Bucklaud fancies, will be obtained by Waikato farmers submitting their mares to Tetford. It is needless to mention that Craclr.shot, winner of the Auckland Cup in the fastest time ou record, is a half brother to Tetford ; also, that Tetford himself won not only the Wanganui Cup iu ISSO, of oOOsovs., but was one of the fastest horses ever bred at Wellington Park by Mr Thomas Morrin. As a three-year-old, he won three races out of six starts, being placed on each occasion. As a four ■ year • old, he won the Wanganui Cup, two miles and a distance, in 3miu. 57 l-sth sec, boating the flower of New Zealand. At the same meeting, also the Wanganui Stakes, U miles, of £150, in 2inin. 44-sec. with the thumping weight of 9st on his back—truly a great record. As a six-year-old, Tetford, with Sst 101b ou his back, won the Victoria Handicap of 100 sovs. at the A.R.C. Summer Meeting, beating Antelope, Balista, Friendship, and Bangle, including some of the best horses in Xew Zealand, thus proving himself one of the fastest and best weight-car-riers ever bred. Breeders must recollect that this horse has gone through a severe ordeal, viz., racing from a two-year-old to a six-year-old, aud leaving the track for stud duties as sound as thu day he was foaled is the correct horse and one most likely to get sound, serviceable stock. rrro TRAVEL THIS SEASON IN 1 THE WAIKAIO, The Thoroughbred Stallion, MUSEAPEER. Breeders will do well to bear in mind that this horse's stock took tho prize at the Horse Parade in Cambridge, ;i-s the best Two-year-old exhibited. He is also the si.'C of Peerless, who won the Waikato Produce Stakes, 1891 ; also, Lottie, the runner-up in the .sime race and winner of the Huia Cup in Auckland, beating St. Hippo, North Atlantic, and others ; and Florence and Blunderbuss, all good performers.
