PI'KKrUTU Road — Tim Chairman reported that he had had about nine chains of this road re.formed at 2s 0d per chain ; ' a set of pipes had been put in to let the i water off the road into the creek, and a | wing of a bridge, repaired. — 1 fis action was approved. Finance.—At d.it■ tho Board had a credit balance at the bank of £115 4s sd. ' V\ HITKHALL Roaii. —Some repairs to this road, near Mr Hrunskill s, were authorised, but will not be executed until dryer weather. A portion requires forming and gravelling. On TUB Koad —Attention was drawn to the fact that the Auckland Agricultural Companv had erected stock yards on land that had hoan proclaimed a public road. The road in question appears on the map only ; it runs from (iorton Road to Dougherty's deviation, but a great gully intervenes, so the road will probably not be made for the next hundred years. —The clerk will call the attention of Sir McCaw to the matter. —We are told that a portion of the main Gorton Road was enclosed by the Auckland Agricultuial Company many years ago, but while survey matters are in such a mixed state as they were lately shown tc be in the Auckland Supreme Court, we fancy they will hold undisputed possession. Accounts. —Two accounts were passed for payment and the Board rose. CAMBRIDGE KOAD BOARD. This Board met at Cambridge on Saturday, at 2.30 p.m. Prosent : Messrs J. Forrest (chairman), J. McCaw and H. J. Paton. WoitKS.—The Chairman reported as to the gravelling of the main road, and said the contractor had forsaken the Board for the Borough Couticil, but if he neglected their work he must not expect the Board to study his interest. FbN'COURT Road.—Some minor repairs to this road were authorised. Trkks on the Road.—The clerk was instructed to warn Mr Wm. Russell, of Hautapu, that he must remove some trees that had fallen on the side of the road, as they are dangerous to horsemen. Finance.—At date the Board had a credit balance of £90 15s Id at the Cambudge bank, but it owes the county riding account £103 13s Id, upou which it is paying 9 per cent interest. Accounts.—The following accounts were passed for payment :—R. Crickett, £4; J. Pennell, £3; \V. Bowman, £5 lis; W. Souter, £t lis ; the clerk, £5; county riding account, £50. This concluded the business.
