R.M. COURT, NGARUAWAHIA.
Tuesday.—(Before Capt. Jackson, li.M.) T. Skkvves was charged (in the information of the police with cruelty to a horse by dragging it with a rope at the tail of a waggon. Constable Kavanagh prosecuted, and Mr R. \V. Dyer appeared for the defendant. After hearing the evidence, the case was dismissed, His Worship stating that he was satisfied that there had been no intentional cruelty. Marutnaru, a native, was charged with supplying liquor to Joseph Carroll, a prohibited person. Constable Kavanagh prosecuted and .Mr Dyer appeared for the defendant. The evidence showed that the native hadjtaken beer to Carroll but did not know that he was apr >hibit j .d pin-son, and on this ground the case was dismissed. LISLH v. Bkach.—Mr Dyer appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Hay fos defeodent, and by consent the case was adjourned Ull til next Court <1 ly.
