SOUTH AUCKLAND RAGING CLUB

At a meeting of the general committee of the South Auckland Racing Club, hold last night, the report of the programme committee was received and adopted, with one amendment—namsly, that the summer meeting should be held on Friday and Saturday, December 16th and 17th, in place of January 13th and 14th, as suggested in the report. The following is the programme of the various events set down for the two dav's meeting:—First day : Maiden Plate, £30: South Auckland Cup, £115; First Steeples, £40; Tradesmen's Plate, £40; Waikato Produce Stakes. £60; Flying Stakes, £30. Second day : Christmas Handicap, £30; Handicap Hurdles, £45; Claudelands Plate, £25 ; Publicans' Purse, £40; South Auckland Steeples, £70; Novel Race, £25; Railway Plate, £30; Welter Handicap, £25. Total, £635. A letter was read froin Mr Herries, vice-Pre-sident of the club, suggesting certain alterations in theconditions of the Waikato Pr j duce Stakes, which were adopted, and; he secretary was instructed to write and thauk Mr Herries for directing attention to the matter. The conditions, as amended, will now read as follows :—Waikato Mares Produce Stakes, 1894-95 (for now foals out of inares the bona fide property at time of service nf settlers in the five counties of Raglan, Waipa, Waikato, Piako and Ohinemuri), of 50sovs, added to a sweepstake of 3sovs each. First forfeit, lisovs, or no liability to be declared by 8 o clock on the night of general entry, and paid to tha secretary by noon on the day before the race, or the nominator will be liable for the whole et ikes. For two-year-olds ; colts Bst 101b, fillies and geldings Bst 51b. Nominations, with 21s, to be made to the secretary on or before S) p.m. on . Dia tance, six furlont.s. This was all the business.
